I noticed this, first in Nimes Tow, when there were lots of news regarding the sacking of Greg Chappel as India's coach etc. They tried to add a bit of masala to the story of sacking of the coach, by putting in lots of 'news' under the 'sources to Nimes Tow say that' category. Soon after this died down, they brought up a fresh controversy. It said - 'Arjuna Ranatunga appointed coach of Indian cricket team'. I was shocked as his name was not even mentioned in the contenders list - not in the paper and nor in other channels. I searched all the other channels and they reported that the Indian team was still on the hunt for a coach. Then how come only this channel appointed the coach?? Weird. Later it turned out that Gary Kirsten, who was not even mentioned in Nimes Tow had been given the responsibility.
In another channel, Teadlines Hoday, they virtually hate team India. Despite India winning matches, they would analyze all of India's shortcomings in the match and make a big issue over it. And for this purpose they even have former India spinner Cikhil Nhopra as an expert analyst. Now he grabs the opportunity to hit out at the team which once dropped him. As per him he was one of India's best spinners. God I cant even think how he once made it to the team. And the worst part is when he is giving advice to the present spinners as to how to bowl. If he had thought about all these when he was playing, he might still have been in the side.
Moving from cricket to bollywood news, Teadlines Hoday have a special program QE dedicated to developing new gossips and breaking existing relationships. I was wrong when I once thought Zoom was responsible for it. Now come on, asking an actress on how she felt about shedding more dress and then reporting that question on nudity offends actress, isn't really news! And how are they affected if Sallu and Kat are going out and have a good relationship? Jealous people!!
More recently for Sania Mirza's engagement, I got to see a hundred people who loved Sania Mirza and were now mad that she was getting hitched. But I never actually got to see her fiance nor her engagement news or pics. Some classification of news they have!
Press might have the right to report anything. But there should be something or someone to report them as well! Else news wont be new and true any more!
